What a weekend it’s been for the Agenda team! From homemade pies and community spirit to Wembley wins and 10K finish lines, we’ve packed a whole lot of heart into just a few days, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible team.

Friday: Pies, Peas & Purpose

We kicked things off in the best way possible with our Pies and Peas Charity Evening at the Burton Pidsea Memorial Hall. The night was a huge success, all in support of the Stroke Association, a charity that means a great deal to us and is our charity of the year for 2025.

A huge thank you to the local pie legend –  The Pie Lady’s Farm Shop for their incredibly generous donation of mouth-watering, homemade pies. Each one was lovingly made and packed with flavour, and it’s safe to say they were a massive hit on the night, with many guests eagerly going back for seconds (and even thirds!).

Adding to the atmosphere was our very own multi-talented Matt Harvey, Business Development Manager by day and talented musician by night. Matt took to the stage with an acoustic set that brought the room to life, filling it with toe-tapping tunes and singalong favourites. His performance had guests smiling, clapping, and singing along, creating a truly joyful and memorable experience for everyone there.

Chris Withers, our MD, took on the role of compère and quizmaster with his usual charm, hosting raffles, leading the quiz, and keeping spirits high all evening. Special shout-outs go to Rosanna, Nina, Sarah, and Evie for their amazing help behind the scenes with catering, we couldn’t have done it without you. It was great to see so many people enjoying the night, with friends, family, colleagues old and new supporting such a great cause.

Saturday: Wembley Wonders

Saturday saw many of the Agenda team heading to the capital to cheer on Hull KR in an unforgettable Challenge Cup victory. The energy, the passion, the pride, what a moment to witness. Whether you were in the stands or watching from home, it was a day to remember for every Hull KR supporter.

Sunday: Running for a Reason

We wrapped up an unforgettable weekend with one final challenge, this time, on foot. Several members of the Agenda team proudly took part in the Hull 10K, running not just for fitness, but for a powerful cause close to our hearts.

A huge shout-out to Jess Wright, Dan Grubb, Amber Jones, Matt Harvey, Courtney Uscroft, Sadie Walker and Steve Kitching, who laced up their trainers and hit the streets with determination, raising even more vital funds for the Stroke Association, our charity of the year for 2025.

From the start line to the finish, the streets of Hull were alive with energy. The roar of the crowd, cheers from friends and family, and words of encouragement from colleagues gave our runners that extra push when they needed it most. It wasn’t just about the kilometres covered; it was about every step taken in solidarity and support.

Whether it was a personal best or simply crossing the finish line, each runner carried the spirit of the weekend with them, compassion, community, and a whole lot of heart. We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts.

On 17th March, Ofcom released an important revision to the Online Safety Act, a move that strengthens online protections and clearly defines what now constitutes a criminal offense in digital spaces.
